First Wave of Planes Complete
The first set of fighter models for pimping up my Wings of War set are now complete.
(USA) F4F-4 Wildcat
(USA) SBD-5 Dauntless
(Japan) Kawasaki Ki-100 Type 5
(Japan) Mitsubishi A6M Zero Model 22
Also, not actually in the game, but used as a test built
F6F-3 Hellcat
All 3 USA planes are from the now discontinued Revell Microwings range. The 2 Japanese planes are manufactured by F-Toys and are prepaints (although require construction, decals applied and paint touched up when glue may have removed the original coat).

From what I've seen so far these models really enhance Wings of War. Love the historical links too. Great stuff! Now, praise over...do I get the Spitfire when you do Western Europe?
ReplyDeleteAh, it'll be a while until we make it to Europe - the supply convoy takes a while avoiding the uboats! I'll be bolstering the US forces in the meantime to helpdeal with those Ki-100 cannons

ReplyDeleteI've downloaded scanned deck plans for the Japanese Carrier Akagi and US Intrepid. Next game should be a bombing run on the Intrepid I think!
