Ruined!

Or at least maybe more ruins??

I've been spending the last wee while making a few more Dave Graffam ruins. These 2 storey ruins have actually been already used in anger, but I'd only just properly finished off the base edging, so they have been formally introduced - The Ruined Arcrade.

The main piece is one I'd been wanting for Frostgrave scenarios, the Ruined Tower. The holes in the side walling are big enough to place in some walkways from neighbouring buildings\ruins which is really nice.

Finally I've made a building from Daves "Low Ruins" kit. Although nice an simple I have to admit that I've found the kit a bit dull and box-y for fantasy ruins. So I've split this one for flexibility and think it's really come to life.

As the floor was split once the construction was almost complete it can be roughly put back together again as well if required.

  1. What materials are you using for the building? Foamcore or card?

    1. I'm using mounting board card in between the textures. More of a hang up on my first models as that's what I could easily get and cheaper than foam board. Still very sturdy though. I also print the textures on 210gsm card. Handles much better than just paper and takes the white glue without getting all rumpled. Probably a bit of compromise with picture quality but worth it.

    1. Thanks. not all Daves ruin kits are that good for bridging (or so I find) so to have this capability on the Tower Ruin is great.
