Mutant Rat Ogre

After all those WWII planes I decided to paint a solo fantasy figure before embarking on my next painting project.

WoW - Attack on the USS Intrepid

For our second visit to the Pacific Theatre MacSver and I decided to add a few more rules to play.

Since our last game I'd sourced, enhanced and printed out the deck plans of USS Intrepid (historical details at the end of the post) from Boardgamegeek, giving a bombing objective for the Japanese. We decided the the US had been caught napping and the 2 US planes would need to take off from the carrier (at altitude 0). The Carrier is bristling with AA guns which would hopefully help with protection until the defending planes got airborne.

WIP Wednesday

A quick "what's going on".  One nearing it's end and another beginning.

My newly painted Mutant Rat Ogre is just awaiting being based now, so should be properly posted up in a few days.

The black undercoated figures are the start of my next project - Egyptian Cultists. These are the cultist figures from the "In Her Majesty's Name" Servants of Ra box. I've a few extra figures to add to the core box set, but the cultists will be using the same palette as the Rat Ogre and they will also get the bulk of the initial force started.

Adv SoBH Demo at Falkirk

Dwarven bullies block the progress of
the Orc Shaman and Warriors down the alley.
MacSver had offered to demo Advanced Song of Blades and Heroes at the Falkirk Wargames Club this week, but interest was enough that a second game would probably need to be run to accomodate numbers, so I was (easily) press ganged into my first visit to run the second game. I had created a trio of 28mm warbands for reserves, but as I knew one of the attendees was 15mm fanatic Jimboba from Warchest I put managed to cobble together some advanced Warbands from my limited collection and jumped into MacSver's Dad taxi to be chauffeured up the road.
