SoBH Campaign 4 - Battle 11
The villagers gathered round the market cross to hear the news. There was a warband coming to take them from their settlement. Would no body step in to save them?

1st Completed Model in 30 Years
I was going to title this "P51 Mustang III" but the main news is really that I've completed my first "proper" model kit for nearly 30 years (when I was a young teenager in case you were wondering.

Stonehaven Miniatures Pop-Up Terrain
I've only backed one kick-starter, and that was last years campaign by Stonehaven Miniatures to product printed sheets card to construct pop-up terrain. I backed at a "Color PDF" level, so I didn't get any printed item, but the pdf's of the sheets (in sepia and colour). This means that I can resize the kits for 15mm.
This is the first, easiest section, the shrubbery. I'll hopefully manage to get this done over the weekend, so I'll obviously get posting when I complete it....

Unmasked by Google Plus
Unmasked at last? |
I thought I'd give in to Google's nagging and start a linked Google+ site\blog\whatever to fire up "related interest" items as well as another portal for the Weeblokes posts. One of the consequenses of this appears to be that I have to face the world un-masked, like the villain at the end of a Scooby Doo episode.
The content of this blog isn't going to change theme any, the Google+ part is an bonus extra. Please bare with me as I muddle my way through this new online resource. There may be a couple of hick-ups on the way...
So please feel free to click on the Google+ profile down the right. Please don't be offended if I'm slow adding you into my circles, etc - I'm don't know what they are yet!
Those pesky Google Kids!

SoBH Campaign 4 - Battle 10
The two warbands come across a travelling caravan that has been ambushed by a band of Ogres. The guards are valiantly defending their rich merchant boss, but it's only a matter of time before they succumb to the bludgeoning force of their attackers. Can one of the warbands rescue the merchant?

15mm Barbarian Warband finished
It's taken all December, but my second painted Skirmish Board warband is painted - The Barbarians.
Figures are all from 15mm.co.uk. The scenery is all from my 15mm Skirmish Board set (copies of which will be made available soon from this very blog).
The base edges are intentionally painted a different colour from the Undead horde for ease of playing - I hope to put on a few participation\demo games this year and thought it would help.

Kindle Surprise(s)
My lovely wife got me a Kindle Fire HD for Christmas this year, "That's nice, but not really hobby specific." I hear you say.
Well that was until I stumbled onto a post of the Lead Adventure forum letting everyone know the Kindle version of "In Her Majesty's Name" was available for 99p (the "Heroes, Villains & Fiends" is on sale as well). I already have the print version so didn't bite, but had me looking around for other bargains of a gaming nature.
Here's a quick pick of what I picked up. Some for use, some for interest, some for curiosity.

- Steampunk Soldiers: Uniforms & Weapons from the Age of Steam (£0.99)
- The Wargaming Compendium (£4.32)
- Bolt Action: World War II Wargames Rules (£1.19)
- Bolt Action: Armies of Germany (£1.19)
- A Fistful Of Kung Fu (£1.09)
There seem so a few other good buy's for similar prices there as well for those who are interested. I have no idea if these are special holiday sales or not I'm afraid.
