Weeblokes @ Carronade 2015

Long suffering readers among you (thank you very much by the way) will by now know that my attendance at the annual wargame show, Carronade, held by the Falkirk Wargames Club is hardly anything new. In fact it's been a steady constant in May since I started this blog.

This year, however (on the Saturday 9th May by the way), I am ramping up my attendance a notch or two and I have been afforded a 6'x4' table to host public participation games of "Song of Blades and Heroes" - Huzzah!. Using my 15mm Skirmish boards I will have ample room to run 2 separate games at the same time. So if you are there please look me up (I think I may be listed under "Sam Pate Game Boards") for a game, chat or casual hello. The mighty MacSver also plans to help out, so anyone also looking for endless ruminations about how good Dwarves are can also be accommodated.

Additionally (if you can take any more) I will have a small number of extra Skirmish Board sets for sale, in case anyone is interested in returning home with a set to furnish the dining\kitchen table.

    1. Thanks, Phil. The Graffam textures really hit the nail on the head for me as well.

  2. Sam, can you email me with a summary of what's included in your scenery packages? Sounds like we might be doing another UK trip this summer which could mean getting one shipped to our folks address in UK might be feasible.

ps. Not sure if I ever mentioned but my grandfather was from Falkirk - I try to follow the bairns results when I can.

    1. I'll get an email to you shortly, Tristan. I'm actually mid way through getting a proper page with the pack details set up. As a basic summary though the pack has the board in 6 pieces and 3 sheets of A4 card for a total of 6 buildings 6 lengths of tall wall and 3 of low wall. Pretty much what you see in the top picture minus the book, dice, figures and sticks. It all goes inside a reseal plstic bag and pagged envelope for postage.

As for the Bairns - all I can say is Cup Final fever!

  4. It must be fate. Only a few weeks ago I came across your blog and MacServer's and thought I should get in touch because of the common ground we share. Then I saw you were both fairly local and thought about arranging a meet up in Falkirk. Then you post that you are going to Carronade - as am I!

Put me down for at least one game please. It's be great to meet you both and share our love of diminutive skirmishing. Want me to bring any painted warbands?

    5. Hi both - great to meet you on Saturday but sorry we didn't get a game in the end. As fate would play it's hand again, my eBay feed sent me a link to the following auction that includes some of 15mm.co.uk the Judges mentioned. Might be of interest at 99p! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/15mm-Tabletop-Miniatures-Law-Officers-painted-9-x-figures-Sci-Fi-Laserburn-/161700972576?
