15mm Dwarf Warband

15mm Dwarves done. From 15mm.co.uk. If you remember my Orc Warband I was commenting on the rough and ready nature of some of the sculpts. These guys are anything but. Great detail which a real joy to paint. They are pretty heavily armoured which made me think they were from a well supplied stronghold. A feeling backed up by the inclusion of a King!

I had a bash at free handing a banner. The front is obscured by a couple of tassels, but the back is exposed. It'll not win any awards, but fills the space.

The colour scheme came directly from the blues and metal of the cover of "Oath Breaker" by Nick Kyme (Black Library) which I read a few years ago.

  1. They look fantastic - I want to see a batrep video where you pull out your box of 15mm fold up terrrain - which has two warbands inside, setup the scenery and go at it! Fantastic stuff mate.

    1. Thanks, Tristan. A Bat Rep video is a bit beyond my means I'm afraid though. I did do just that this last weekend though for a rainy afternoon in a caravan (rough report to come...)

    1. Thanks, Sam. Dwarves though are always gioing to be small whatever the scale ;) (although aI must say that at 15mm these are not to much smaller)

      Who makes your figures?

  5. The painting scheme is very good and you did a good job on such small miniatures. Fantastic idea taking a photo with the terrain.

    1. Cheers, Cedric. And as for the terrain, every bit of exposure helps :)

  6. Indeed, you have done a great job with the lad's outfitting. The great veteran warband leader, Valgen Maest, has raised an eyebrow in approval ;)
