Unmasked by Google Plus

Unmasked at last?
Some of you may have noticed that the name under the posts has changed away from "Arabianknight" to "Sam Pate".
I thought I'd give in to Google's nagging and start a linked Google+ site\blog\whatever to fire up "related interest" items as well as another portal for the Weeblokes posts. One of the consequenses of this appears to be that I have to face the world un-masked, like the villain at the end of a Scooby Doo episode.

The content of this blog isn't going to change theme any, the Google+ part is an bonus extra. Please bare with me as I muddle my way through this new online resource. There may be a couple of hick-ups on the way...

So please feel free to click on the Google+ profile down the right. Please don't be offended if I'm slow adding you into my circles, etc - I'm don't know what they are yet!

Those pesky Google Kids!

  1. Hi Sam,
With the Google plus I really don't understand it other than google trying to link everything up. I Have never found the plus section of any use, the way that our pics are all gathered up from everywhere without any real control is annoying. I know we can delete them after however they just feel to intrusive.

Sorry for the moan, I may yet find it very helpful and Google plus everyone!

    1. No, no, it's a fair comment. It confuses me as well to be honest, which is one of the reasons why I've taken the plunge. It may end up being more work than reward, or just a personal note book of interesting (for me) stuff I've found on the interweb. It may also depend on how annoyingly interwoven Google have made it with all my other vaguely google connected stuff.

  2. Sorry dude, I can't help much either. Not sure what Google+ is precisely but I think it has brought some extra traffic to my humble blog. I'm not sure but when you post it's also displayed on Google+ bringing your blog to an entirely different audience (not just bloggers).

  3. That explains why that excellent thumbnail of Doomlord on my followers has been replaced by some chap called Pete ;-) I thought I'd just upset you in some way!?! I've not heard a good word about google+ so avoided it myself. Very interested to see how you get on.

    1. I may have to change the avatar back then, Blaxk', just to avoid confusion. Can't help but feel G+ is a bit of a lesser mash of all things, but some folk do use it so the more the merrier.
