This is more a catch up post now I've some photography space set - these were actually painted at the start of the year.
After the fiddly elves I thought I'd go for something a bit swift and easy, so quick painted a group of Mordor Orcs and Trolls for my (slow grow) Isangard army.
The Trolls are actually from the old tradable LoTR Combat Hex game by Sabertooth. These figures were the same sculpts as the Games Workshop range but in a plastic 40mm scale, giving the trolls a bit more of an imposing scale. Unlike the rank and file GW LOTR orcs I like the way these have come out.
The Orcs are standard Games Workshop plastic kits apart from a single captain with his net. All just quickly slap-chopped and are fine in an assembled mass.
